Researcher and forestry development practitioner.  Interested in Community Based Natural Resources Management (CBNRM); Innovation Systems, Innovation Platforms, Participatory/ Action Research, Forest Genetic Resources Conservation and Collective Action.  I hold an MPhil in Development Studies from the National University of Science and Technology. My thesis was about Participatory diagnosis for establishing Innovation Platforms in Transfrontier Conservation Areas with  a focus on Hwange and Chiredzi Districts in Zimbabwe. 
With respect to conservation work,  my current focus is on national reporting of Forest Genetic Resources  as  the National Focal Point for the Zimbabwe Country Report. My research career has benefitted immensely from mentorship from respected researchers and scientists within the Research Platform-  Production and Conservation in Partnerships (RP-PCP) and the EU DREAM  Project. I am a member of the Community of Practice for Forest and Landscape Restoration which is part of the DGroups platform.
